Bushcraft Bairns Wins Scotland’s Finest Woods Early Years Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Laura Norval and Lynne Copland of Comrie Croft-based Bushcraft Bairns on winning the Schools and Early Years category at the Scotland’s Finest Woods Awards; understands that the awards are to encourage and reward schools and pre-schools that increase young people’s understanding and appreciation of the environmental, social and economic potential of trees, woodlands and forests and of the link between trees and everyday wood-based products; further understands that Bushcraft Bairns aims to provide a creative, safe space for children and young people to explore, develop and learn by engaging in rich multi-dimensional learning experiences within the woodland setting; commends the project, which aims to develop children socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically and intellectually while stimulating self-esteem, confidence and communication skills, and wishes Bushcraft Bairns all the best for its future success.
