U16 St Peter the Apostle Football Team, in Clydebank, Wins the Glasgow Cup and the Glasgow League

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the U16 St Peter the Apostle Football Team, in Clydebank, on winning the Glasgow Cup and the Glasgow League; understands that the team members were determined to win these titles, and finished the season as Scottish Cup and Glasgow League winners, winning four trophies out of six since they started S1; notes that the team had to overcome a year with no football, due to COVID-19 restrictions, but that it has surpassed its pre-pandemic form and has established itself as the dominant team in its age group in Scotland; acknowledges the benefits that sports such as football have on the physical and mental wellbeing of Scotland's young people, and applauds the team for this outstanding achievement.
