Aberdeen-based Charity Absafe Awarded £103,191 Grant from UK Government

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Absafe, a charity based in Aberdeen, on receiving a grant of £103,191 to enhance its service offerings; understands that the funding obtained through Aberdeen City Council was secured from the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund; further understands that the city of Aberdeen received funding amounting to £7.1 million as part of the fund; notes that Absafe offers personal safety and wellbeing training to school pupils with a focus on promoting the health and development of young people; further notes the valuable opportunities provided by Absafe through its community hub, which features real-life environments addressing topics such as cyber security, pro-social behaviour and mental wellbeing, and extends its best wishes to the charity and its supporters for the future.
