Owen Miller to Run for Team GB at Paris World Para Athletics Championships
The motion
That the Parliament celebrates Owen Miller, a Paralympic champion from West Fife, who will be representing Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the Paris World Para Athletics Championships, which will take place on 8 July 2023; understands that Owen, a former pupil at Woodmill High School, memorably won gold at the delayed 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, and is aiming to be in contention for a podium place at the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships; notes that Owen will be joined at the competition by two of his training group peers, who will also run in the same event; recognises the years of hard work that Owen has undertaken in order to be able to compete at such a high level, and wishes Owen, and his teammates all the best for the competition.
