Uddingston and Bellshill Project, Our Past, My Future, Awarded £237,514 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Our Past, My Future project, run by ENABLE Scotland in the Uddingston and Bellshill constituency, on receiving £237,514 of funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund; understands that the funding will cover the full costs of the project, which aims to empower communities across North Lanarkshire to recognise the local history and positive changes made by people with learning disabilities to human rights and life in Scotland, as well as to celebrate the heritage of the social changes for people with learning disabilities over the last 70 years; commends ENABLE Scotland for what it sees as its tireless campaigning and invaluable support services to improve lives, opportunities and inclusion of people with learning disabilities and their families, and wishes the charity every success going forward.
