The Cherry Tree's Annual Fundraiser
The motion
That the Parliament commends the staff and regulars of The Cherry Tree in Netherton on their annual fundraising efforts, with St Andrew’s Hospice being 2023’s chosen charity; understands that Helen Paterson, Yvonne Jeffrey, Bill Dunbar and David Haig were instrumental in raising over £6,500 through golfing events hosted by Wishaw Golf Club, including a pool tournament, auctions and raffles on the night; notes that the hospice provides specialist palliative care to people living with life-limiting illnesses, and that the mission to provide support, not only to patients, but also to their loved ones and carers, is central to its ethos; thanks the staff and regulars of The Cherry Tree for their kindness, and wishes them all the best for the future.
