New Age Fitness Fundraising Event for Maggie's Cancer Care Centre
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates New Age Fitness staff and members on their recent fundraising challenges in aid of Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre in Lanarkshire; understands that New Age Fitness is a group of independent fitness clubs built from the ground up to serve the local community, and was founded in 2014 by Steven Morley; further understands that three gyms from across Lanarkshire raised over £6,500, with the Wishaw members raising over £1,200 with a gruelling two-hour spinathon; notes that Maggie’s Lanarkshire helps equip people to cope with the challenges of a cancer diagnoses, providing them a safe space and support to help them deal with their cancer diagnosis; thanks the staff and members of New Age Fitness and Maggie’s for their commitment to improving the lives of people with cancer, and wishes them all the best for the future.
