Tour of Scotland Fundraiser
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Steven Gault, Alasdair Crooks and Kent and Aaron McKenzie on their fundraising event in aid of Glasgow Children’s Hospital; understands that the friends cycled the length of Scotland to raise over £3,000, to thank the hospital for the care that it provides to Steven’s nephew, Riley Kells, who is from Wishaw and has cystinosis; notes that cystinosis is a genetic condition, which leads to the build-up of cystine crystals in the body, affecting many organs, mainly the kidneys and eyes; thanks Steven, Alasdair, Kent, Aaron and all the staff at Glasgow Children’s Hospital for their commitment to helping others, and wishes Riley all the best for the future.
