Borders Archaeological Society Receives Lottery Heritage Funding

The motion

That the Scottish Parliament congratulates St Ethelreda's Chapel Halterburn project on being awarded £7,600, the full cost of the project, by the National Lottery Heritage Fund; notes that the project is being run by Till Valley Archaeological Society in the Scottish Borders; understands that the aim of the project is to undertake an archaeological dig around this historically important site, and provide activities linked to this for the community in a rural area often missed by larger organisations, whilst developing closer ties between the community and the Till Valley Archaeological Society, and thanks the National Lottery Heritage Fund for continuing to support rural communities across Scotland.
