Street Soccer Nations Cup 2023 Tournament in Largs

The motion

That the Parliament celebrates the Street Soccer Nations Cup tournament, which is being held in Largs in August 2023; understands that women-only teams from Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Sweden will compete at Largs Thistle’s Barrfield Stadium and that players will stay at sportscotland’s Inverclyde facility; understands that Street Football projects are active across the globe, offering life-changing experiences for players who are experiencing social isolation; believes that the tournament will bring together players to build their self-belief and showcase the importance of inclusivity in football, and wishes the players the best of luck for the tournament, with Scotland winning the competition.
