Member of Dumbarton Gym Wins Loch Lomond Highland Games Title

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Brian Doherty, who is a member of the Marine CraftGym in Dumbarton, on winning first place in the local novice category at theLoch Lomond Games; acknowledges that Brian hit 12 o’clock with his caber toss,threw the hammer 89ft and the shot put 37ft; notes that he was the only localcompetitor to get the caber over and won overall in the category; recognisesthat the Marine Craft Gym is home to the Dumbarton Amateur Weightlifting Club, whichis where Brian trains, and notes that the Loch Lomond Highland Games was firstheld in 1967 and attracts over 9,000 people to the area each year.
