Blairdrummond Cyclist Becomes World Champion

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Jenny Holl and Sophie Unwin on winning three World Championship titles at the UCI Cycling World Championships in Glasgow; understands that Jenny is from Blairdrummond, near Stirling, and that she was pilot as the pair recorded a win in the Women’s B 1km time-trial, followed by further wins in the Women’s B Sprint and Women's B Individual Pursuit at the Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow; notes that the UCI Cycling World Championships, being held in Glasgow, are the first event of their kind, with the world’s best cyclists coming together in Glasgow, and across Scotland, from 3 to 13 August 2023 to compete in 13 UCI World Championships.
