Cowdenbeath Constituency Projects Benefit from Scottish Landfill Communities Fund
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that two projects in the Cowdenbeath constituency have benefited in the latest round of large grants made by Fife Environment Trust, the approved body, in administering the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund; understands that BRAG Enterprises received a grant of £24,956.86 towards the costs associated with creating a community growing space and creating a training and test space; further understands that Dalgety Community Trust received a grant of £33,228 towards the costs associated with the creation of a pump track, promoting cycling and other wheeled sports for all ages and abilities; notes that the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund is a tax credit scheme linked to the Scottish Landfill Tax; further notes that, since its establishment, Fife Environment Trust has awarded grants to 214 eligible projects, with a combined award figure of over £6.5 million, helping to lever in match funding totalling approximately £18.2 million; thanks those at Fife Environment Trust for making these awards, and wishes both BRAG Enterprises and Dalgety Community Trust all the very best with their projects.
