Octave Hits the High Notes for MS Society
The motion
That the Parliament commends the ensemble, Octave, for its fundraising efforts for the MS Society; understands that the critically acclaimed choir will present music from its back catalogue of over 400 pieces at the Motherwell GLO Auditorium; notes that, in 2013, Octave was awarded Best in Class in the Mixed Voice Choir section of the Glasgow Music Festival; further notes that it is estimated that there are over 15,000 people with MS in Scotland, which it understands makes MS more common in Scotland than most other countries in the world; thanks all the MS specialist nurses across Scotland, MS Society staff, researchers and volunteers for their commitment to making a huge difference to people with MS, and wishes Octave all the best with its performances.
