Congratulations to Alive and Kicking Project on its 35th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Alive and Kicking project, which provides vital services to older and disabled people in the north east of Glasgow, on its coral anniversary; notes that the project was opened in December 1988 by the late Lord Martin of Springburn, who was the MP for Glasgow Springburn at the time; commends Anne Marie Robertson and Eulalia Stewart for their wonderful stewardship of the project since it was founded; recognises that the project is award-winning, having received The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2008; notes that Alive and Kicking will hold a 35th anniversary celebration on 18 August 2023, and wishes all the staff, volunteers and regular attendees of the Alive and Kicking project a happy anniversary and all the very best for the future.
