10th Anniversary of the Healthy Living Centre

The motion

That the Parliament celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Healthy Living Centre in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, which opened in summer 2013; notes that the centre is home to several health-related organisations, including the Wester Hailes Medical Practice, the South West Recovery Hub, which is a one-stop shop offering drug and alcohol treatment and support services, and The Health Agency, which is a community-led organisation tackling health inequalities; further notes that the centre is also home to Tasting Change, a multi-agency partnership set up to tackle food insecurity and promote positive food and health opportunities in the area; understands that, to mark the anniversary, there will be a day of celebrations including music, food from the Garden Kitchen, and information stalls setting out the range of services that the Healthy Living Centre offers, and wishes the Healthy Living Centre and the organisations continued success in improving the health and wellbeing of people across the Wester Hailes area.
