Machan Trust Celebrates 25 Years

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Machan Trust on celebrating its 25th anniversary; recognises that it is holding a free celebration event on 15 September 2023 at Larkhall Academy; notes that the Machan Trust currently works with around 800 people a week, with over 52 weekly groups, and an additional 250 children who attend its breakfast clubs; recognises that the Machan Trust's groups provide a warm space, food and activities, completely free of charge, and are open to all; notes that it also works with families and provides activities such as crafts, cooking, first aid and mental health support, and further notes that it also provides volunteering opportunities for the local community and university placements, as well as employability support for young people and school leavers.
