Congratulating the Departing Chair of Energise Galashiels, Mike Gray

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Mike Gray on nearly 10 years of service as the Chair of Energise Galashiels Trust; notes that Mike recently stepped down as the Chair of the Board of Trustees after holding the position since 2014; understands that, during his tenure, Mike has led many initiatives to promote and improve Galashiels, including successfully lobbying for the town to be the location for the Great Tapestry of Scotland Visitor Centre and the Build a Better Gala project; pays credit to Mike on his commitment to his role and tireless efforts to improve the town and provide a valuable source of support to the local community; notes that Mike has been replaced as Chair by fellow Galalean, Ian Dalgleish, and wishes Ian every success in the role going forward.
