Deepsea Day Outstanding Community Fundraising

The motion

That the Parliament commends Deepsea Day for outstanding fundraising across Motherwell and Wishaw, raising over £12,374 in just two years for local groups and charities; understands that Deepsea Day has donated £1,000 to North Motherwell, Motherwell Phoenix, Cambusnethan Talbot and Villa Park Football Clubs, as well as £700 to The Wee Mobile Food Bank to provide essentials to families who find themselves struggling during the current cost of living crisis; further understands that Deepsea Day was set up in memory of Chris Divers, a former coach for Motherwell, Hearts and Caledonian Braves under-20s, who sadly died in 2021, and thanks all those involved at Deepsea Day for their continued fundraising events, the coaches for their dedication and empowerment of their young players, and The Wee Mobile Foodbank for its commitment to assisting the community during these challenges times.
