Viewpark Family Raises Over £80,000 in Memory of Daughter

The motion

That the Parliament commends the Dickson family, from Viewpark, North Lanarkshire, who have tirelessly fundraised for Mary’s Meals over the last 10 years, raising over £80,000; understands that Paul and Mary Dickson, as well as their son, Jamie, and daughter, Susan, started by sponsoring a school in Malawi in memory of their daughter and sister, Shannon, who passed away as a baby, to commemorate her 21st birthday; further understands that the family, including Susan’s husband, Graeme Bradley, raised enough money to build "Shannon’s Kitchen", which continues to feed the 600 school pupils every day; thanks the family for their continued acts of kindness, and wishes them all the best for the future.
