Ravenscraig Burns Club Donation to Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Ravenscraig Burns Club on the kind donation of £2,000 to Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland; understands that former members of the Ravenscraig Burns Club, which is now defunct, wanted to put remaining funds to good causes; notes that the club was established over 41 years ago, and, in its heyday, boasted over 250 members, making it the second largest Burns club in Scotland; understands that the donation to Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland will go to providing support to people across Scotland when they leave hospital, and to live independent and safely within their own home; believes that one in five of Scotland's population is living with a chest, heart or stroke condition, including long COVID, and thanks all the staff, volunteers, fundraisers, and families for their dedication and commitment.
