Hindi Language Connect Awards Held in Edinburgh

The motion

That the Parliament applauds the winners and participants of the Hindi Connect language competition, which was held at the Consulate of India in Edinburgh; notes that these awards recognise the cultural diversity that enriches the culture of Scotland, and that children from ages five to 15 took part in reciting poetry, verses, songs and tales; appreciates the teachers and senior students who helped to prepare the students; acknowledges that the event will now become an annual event for Hindi speakers from across Scotland and Northern Ireland and will be run for children, by children, and wishes the organisers every success for the future.
