Aberdeen International Airport Supporting the Developing the Young Workforce Scheme

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen International Airport for enrolling in the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Young Person’s Guarantee employer scheme; understands that the Young Person’s Guarantee is a joint commitment to provide opportunities for all 16- to 24-year-olds in Scotland through jobs, apprenticeships, further and higher education, training programmes and volunteering; understands that work already being carried out by Aberdeen International Airport, which involves visiting schools to show pathways to the aviation industry, has been recognised by DYW North East, and further understands that Aberdeen International Airport and DYW North East will explore options for modern, graduate apprenticeships and work experience opportunities for young people to explore a career in aviation.
