The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the team at Silverburn retail centre on raising over £40,000 during the summer holidays thanks to a huge indoor beach; notes that the southside retail centre collected money through admissions to Silverburn’s Flamingo Beach, as well as sales from the charity’s pop-up store, which was staffed by volunteers from Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity who supported the beach and pop-up store for the duration of its run; acknowledges that generous donations from visitors and a top-up from the centre’s Silverburn Cares programme increased the total to £41,000, which will be donated to Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity, and notes that the funds raised will help to fund life-changing projects and equipment used to support babies, children and young adults at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, which it understands is Scotland’s busiest children’s hospital.
