Glasgow Wellness Festival in Aid of SAMH

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow-based company, Two Birds, on its new wellness festival; understands that the event, called EQUALS, is in aid of Scotland’s national mental health charity, the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH), which is dedicated to helping people with their mental wellbeing; notes that the festival will not only raise funds and awareness for SAMH, but will also highlight holistic approaches to mental health that could help people, who are currently waiting, to be seen by more conventional services; understands that, as well as hearing the insight of wellbeing experts, attendees will be able to try out cold water therapy, breathwork, yoga, pilates and massage workshops for themselves; believes that looking after your mental health is just as important as looking after your physical health, and notes that the event will take place on 16 September 2023, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, in Boxhub Warehouse in Glasgow's west end.
