Ayrshire Walking Festival

The motion

That the Parliament encourages people to participate in the upcoming Ayrshire Walking Festival, which will take place from 2 to 9 September 2023; is aware that the Festival will be organised by North Ayrshire Council's Trinity Active Travel Hub with support from South and East Ayrshire councils and local partners; understands that this initiative was started and successfully implemented in 2022, and will now be on a larger scale; notes that areas to be covered will include Eglinton, from Stevenston Beach to Saltcoats, Prestwick promenade, Dean Castle Country Park, Kilbirnie Loch, Glen Rosa, Dumfries House Estate, Glen Cloy, Kilwinning, Lanfine Estate and Dalry public park; recognises that the purpose of this campaign is to promote networking and enjoyment, and hopes for good weather, and acknowledges that more information on the Ayrshire Walking Festival is available on the Trinity Active Travel Hub website at thetrinity.org.uk.
