Dumbarton Youth Volunteers Heat Up National Fire Cadet Games

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Dumbarton Youth Volunteers on their success at the recent National Fire Cadet Games in Liverpool, where they represented the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service; recognises that the Dumbarton-based group took part in the specific events of Home Fire Safety Visits, Community Safety Engagement and Presentation, Water Rescue, First Aid/Trauma, as well as a technical course in which they were tasked with displaying skills such as hose running and knots and lines; understands that the Dumbarton group excelled within the first aid section of the games, standing out from the rest of the groups; acknowledges the maturity and determination that the Dumbarton group showed while representing Scotland within the competition, and believes that this should be commended.
