Glasgow Cook Receives Masterclass from Top London Chef

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Mark Lynch, a kitchen assistant at Wyndford Locks Care Home, on being selected from over 900 catering staff to join renowned chef, CJ Jackson, in London’s historic Billingsgate Fish Market; understands that Mark was treated to a private masterclass from CJ Jackson, the principal and chief executive of the prestigious Billingsgate Seafood School; further understands that he also toured the market and discussed the health benefits of fish for older people, from reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease to slowing the development of dementia; recognises that Mark was nominated for the prestigious opportunity by his manager, Karen Watson, and notes that the kitchen assistant aims to apply the lessons from the masterclass to develop nutritious and imaginative meals for local residents in Maryhill.
