East Dunbartonshire Hosts Doors Open Day on 9 September 2023

The motion

That the Parliament celebrates East Dunbartonshire’s Doors Open Day on 9 September 2023; notes that Doors Open Day allows free access to lots of venues, as well as to sites of historic, cultural, archaeological and community interest, which are not usually open to the public; understands that the event is Scotland’s largest free festival and is supported by Historic Environment Scotland; appreciates that historical churches, including Cadder Parish Church, Baldernock Parish Church and New Kilpatrick Church in Bearsden, will also be welcoming visitors throughout the day, along with Deafblind Scotland Learning and Development Centre, the Lillie Art Gallery in Milngavie and the Fort Theatre in Bishopbriggs, which is home to the Antonine Theatre Group, and wishes all these venues the best as they welcome visitors throughout the day.
