Our Lady’s Primary School in Stoneyburn Achieves Silver Rights Respecting School Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Our Lady’s Primary School in Stoneyburn on being awarded Silver by UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA) programme; understands that the award is granted to schools that show commitment to promoting and realising children’s rights and encouraging adults, children and young people to respect the rights of others in school; recognises that the Silver Award is given to schools that make excellent progress towards embedding the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child into their ethos and curriculums; understands that the school has been working with UNICEF for a number of years now, and celebrates with both staff and pupils in achieving this award.
