Clan Cancer's Big Hop Trail 2023
The motion
That the Parliament commends Clan Cancer and its event partner, Wild in Art, for organising the 2023 Big Hop Trail; understands that the Trail, consisting of 92 pieces of art, covered a range of 550 miles stretching from Stonehaven to Lerwick, giving people from many communities the opportunity to get involved; notes that a key aspect of the Trail was the 40 six-foot high fiberglass hare sculptures, each of which represent one year of Clan's 40th anniversary, and reflects the charity's lifelong listening and support service for people affected by cancer; understands that the weekend of 16-17 September will be the Trail's "Farewell Weekend", giving people a final opportunity to view the pieces at Aberdeen Music Hall before they are auctioned for charity, with all proceeds going to Clan Cancer Support; congratulates Clan Cancer, Wild in Art, the event sponsors and all involved on organising this event, and passes on its best wishes for future success.
