Pat Scott Awarded 2023 World’s Best Stovies

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Pat Scott, chairperson of the Huntly Hairst Committee and former reporter with the Huntly Express, on securing the title of World Stovies Champion at the 2023 World Stovies Championship, which was held in Huntly, Aberdeenshire; notes that, 15 years after Pat’s first win, her Stovies were picked for their outstanding flavour, despite, it understands, earlier fears that it might be too mushy; acknowledges that this event has been hosted for the past seven years by Huntly Hairst, and received more submissions than ever; commends Pat and all those involved for their efforts to create community engagement and host this competition, and wishes Pat all the best for the future.
