Dumbarton Youth Volunteers Participate in the Fire Cadet Games in Liverpool

The motion

That the Parliament commends the efforts of the Dumbarton Youth Volunteers who participated in the Fire Cadet Games, held in Liverpool, to represent the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) at the national event, which sees youth volunteers from around the country take part; notes that the crew took part in the event at the city’s Albert Docks, and were commended for their performance, especially in the First Aid section of the competition; understands that watch commander, Tony McGloin, youth volunteer unit leader, Alan Young, and youth volunteer instructors, Aidan Montague and Iain Middleton, attended the weekend and provided support; appreciates the efforts of the cadets, who were scored on areas such as Home Fire Safety Visits, Community Safety Engagement and Presentation, Water Rescue, and First Aid and Trauma, and wishes the cadets every success for the future.
