Orchard Primary's Memory Garden

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges the outstanding generosity of Orchard Primary parent council and the community of Overtown in the creation of the Memory Garden; understands that the garden is in memory of Jackie Donnelly and Sharon Wilson, Orchard Primary staff members who have sadly passed; further understands that the aim of the garden is to provide a safe and tranquil space to grow sustainable foods to be used for ingredients at the community cooking club, and to grow beautiful flowers for all to enjoy; notes that the project was made possible by the donations from the local community, including the businesses of MGM Timber and Reynard’s Garden Centre, and from Mr and Mrs Haugh, Orchard Primary’s parent council, and volunteers from the Motherwell and Wishaw Rotary Club; sends its condolences to Jackie's and Sharon's families, and thanks everyone involved for their dedication and commitment to the project.
