Firewalkers Raise Funds for the Les Hoey MBE Dreammaker Foundation

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the firewalkers who braved a fire pit, which had a temperature of 340 degrees, to raise over £6,000 for the Les Hoey MBE Dreammaker Foundation, based in Wishaw; understands that the charity event took place at the Raven's Cliff, Ravenscraig, in conjunction with Firewalk Scotland, with several brave volunteers taking to the hot coals; further understands that the charity has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds from events and fundraisers over the years, to transform the lives of children under the care of the organisation, since its inception in September 2014; praises the overwhelming effort from Les, the employees of the charity, and volunteers, who, it believes, work tirelessly to change the lives of children, and wishes them all the best in future endeavours.
