Tempura Ayr’s Brandon Van Rensburg Named Entrepreneur of the Year 2023

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates chef and co-owner, Brandon Van Rensburg of the Tempura restaurant in Ayr, on winning Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year at the prestigious Scottish Bar and Pub Awards 2023; notes that the event took place on 29 August 2023 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Glasgow; understands that The Scottish Bar and Pub Awards are in their 28th year and aim to recognise success and excellence in Scotland's hospitality sector; notes that the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year was sponsored by Buzzworks and Montpeliers; understands that Brandon opened Tempura with co-owner, Mark, less than three years ago and that they have since expanded to four venues, a food truck and employ over 40 staff; applauds Brandon, co-owner, Mark, and all the tempura team for their contributions to the hospitality industry, and wishes them the very best in their future endeavours as they continue to thrive.
