Dr Nora Murray-Cavanagh Wins Leadership Excellence Award at NHS Lothian Celebrating Success Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Dr Nora Murray-Cavanagh, Clinical Lead GP at the Wester Hailes Medical Practice, on winning the Leadership Excellence Award at the prestigious NHS Lothian 2023 Celebrating Success Awards; notes that hundreds of nominations are received every year and that the top nominees are shortlisted and invited to the ceremony; appreciates that the annual awards recognise staff who embrace the organisation’s core values of care and compassion, dignity and respect, quality, teamwork and openness, honesty and responsibility; understands that the awards are sponsored by the NHS Lothian Charity as part of a funding programme for staff development in their role to promote better health and wellbeing for patients and staff across Edinburgh and the Lothians, and commends all of the Celebrating Success Awards finalists and winners, in particular Dr Nora Murray-Cavanagh, on being given the recognition that it considers they deserve for going above and beyond in their roles.
