The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow’s Q Club Scotland on winning amateur snooker’s Raeburn International Championships; notes that it took home the trophy for the first time thanks to an 11-6 win, with Jack Borwick securing the winning frame to clinch success; understands that the Glasgow-based squad of amateur snooker players had earned the right to take on their English counterparts after winning the 2022 Scottish County Championships; acknowledges that it was a double celebration for the hosts, as the Scotland B team won the Plate; believes that this shows that the amateur snooker scene is alive and well in Scotland and that snooker is a great way for players from diverse backgrounds and age ranges to bond and compete on a weekly basis, and considers that snooker really is a sport for all.
