Spider Arts Wins Self Management Through the Arts Award 2023

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Spider Arts on winning the Self Management Through the Arts category in the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland Self Management Awards 2023 for its Calmbulance project; understands that the Calmbulance is a fully-equipped, mobile art therapy studio, which offers mental health support to children around Glasgow, with the aim of ensuring that nobody is unfairly disadvantaged due to a lack of services being available in their area; further understands that the project is guided by the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, with children and young people being directly involved in shaping the project and evaluating its impact, and celebrates what it sees as the positive impact that the project has had on the children and young people who have been supported, as well as their families.
