Inspectors’ Top Marks for Lanarkshire Primary School

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates staff and pupils at St Edward’s Primary School in Airdrie on receiving top marks in their Education Scotland inspection; notes that inspectors praised the pupils' attainment and progress in literacy and numeracy; understands that they highlighted the impressive leadership and citizenship work, both in the school and with a range of local community organisations, and further understands that the education officials noted the school’s very positive, nurturing ethos and learning environment, and the highly effective, strong and caring leadership of the head teacher.
