Children’s Health Scotland Wins the Empowering Self Management Project of the Year Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Children’s Health Scotland on winning the Empowering Self Management Project of the Year category within the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland Self Management Awards 2023 for its SMS:HUB project; understands that Children’s Health Scotland has been dedicated to promoting and championing the needs of all children and young people and their families at times of illness since it was founded in 1961; further understands that its SMS:HUB project provides an online space once a month for young people aged 9 to 17 to come together for fun, self management and community, providing what it sees as a vital lifeline for young people who might be feeling socially isolated, and celebrates what it sees as the positive impact that the project has had on the children and young people that it supports, as well as their families.
