Aberdeen City and Shire Thistle Awards 2023

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the winners of the Aberdeen City and Shire Thistle Awards 2023 on their outstanding contributions to the north east’s tourism and hospitality sectors; notes that the businesses and individuals were honoured in various categories, ranging from guest experiences, to climate action and social inclusion; understands that, of the 14 champions, 12 were first-time winners, whereas two were previous winners, but in a different category from last time; considers that the collective efforts of all winners and contestants strengthen the north east’s economy and make it an increasingly desirable place to live, and commends the winners for their success and those working within the sectors for their hard work and talent.
