Dundee Culture Celebrates 10th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament recognises what it sees as the contribution Dundee Culture hasmade to the city of Dundee, and wider region, as it celebrated its 10thanniversary throughout August 2023; welcomes Dundee Culture’s commitment topromoting Dundee’s cultural, hospitality, and tourism sectors; understands thatDundee Culture has promoted the city to millions of people from around theworld; further understands that Dundee Culture’s Stay Safe Dundee campaign,which was launched in March 2020, helped people in Dundee and Tayside stay upto date on information surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, providing comfort, itbelieves, to thousands of people who were anxious during the days of lockdown;congratulates Dundee Culture for its Sunny Dundee campaign, which, itunderstands, sold its iconic yellow sunglasses and raised £1,700 for the ArchieFoundation, a local charity, which helps children and young people intransforming their experience in hospital, and wishes Dundee Culture furthersuccess for the future.
