Jennifer Murray, Winner of Sensory Loss: Positive Self Management Award 2023
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Jennifer Murray on winning the Sensory Loss: Positive Self Management category within the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland Self Management Awards 2023; understands that Jennifer is blind and has hearing loss, and volunteers her time to provide peer support and mentorship in digital technology, currently serving as the lead digital peer support volunteer for Deafblind Scotland’s SensAble project; further understands that Jennifer offered particular support during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring that members were able to make the most of their devices to minimise digital exclusion, and commends Jennifer on her valuable contributions to Deafblind Scotland and its members.
