Happy Birthday to the OVO Hydro

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the OVO Hydro as it celebrates its 10th year on 30 September 2023; understands that the first gig to be held at the venue on this date in 2013 was a performance by Rod Stewart; recognises that Glasgow is a UNESCO World City of Music and that the OVO Hydro has richly contributed to Glasgow’s musical heritage by hosting acts from across the world; believes that, through hosting major music, comedy and conference events, the OVO Hydro has also contributed significantly to Glasgow’s economy and represents an attraction that brings a significant number of visitors to the city; wishes all the management and staff at the OVO Hydro all the best in reaching this milestone, and looks forward to many more years of the city hosting major events at the OVO Hydro.
