40 Years of Lanarkshire Association for Mental Health

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the 40th anniversary of Lanarkshire Association for Mental Health (LAMH); understands that LAMH is a mental health charity based in Lanarkshire, delivering a wide range of services in the community; notes that LAMH is committed to working in partnership to deliver quality mental health services and resources that promote independence and inclusion, and challenge stigma; understands that LAMH's The Food for Thought Café and Wellbeing Centre in Wishaw is a community space where mental health is not only valued but supported, and is host to wellbeing and community classes where service users can benefit from activities such as arts and crafts, yoga, aerobics, meditation, knitting, crochet and pottery; further understands that LAMH operates an array of services across Lanarkshire, including an information line dedicated to providing reliable and useful information to anyone who may need it, certifiable training on mental health for workplaces and community groups, housing support, as well as tailored support for service users who require assistance in accessing sport related activities, educational activities and more; thanks LAMH for its work across Lanarkshire, and wishes all staff, volunteers and service users all the best for the future.
