Thousands Raised for Cancer Charity at East Renfrewshire Golf Club

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the incredible work of everyone involved to raise thousands of pounds at a recent tournament at the East Renfrewshire Golf Club to support the work of a cancer care charity; understands that the tournament was organised at the golf club in Newton Mearns by Persimmon West and that the event raised over £12,000 for the Beatson Cancer Charity; notes that, as part of the event, more than 80 people participated in the golf tournament and were in teams of four from a range of local businesses competing on the day; understands that the event at the East Renfrewshire Golf Club was arranged after Persimmon West selected the Beatson as its charity of the year and made the commitment to organise a variety of fundraising activities over the course of 2023, and commends the fantastic work of everyone who participated in the event at the East Renfrewshire Golf Club and raised thousands of pounds for the cancer care charity.
