Cycling Without Age Scotland Celebrates Fifth Anniversary and Breaking Record

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Cycling Without Age Scotland on its fifth anniversary and record-breaking trishaw ride in Falkirk; understands that the charity held its national Grand Gathering conference on 22 September 2023 for over 80 people who volunteer for the charity; notes that 30 trishaws, usually used by volunteers across to transport passengers, rode from Falkirk Stadium to the Kelpies, breaking a world record of the most trishaws completing one ride together; considers what it sees as the importance of Cycling Without Age Scotland in providing free experiences for people of all ages who have limited mobility, helping around 45,000 passengers across Scotland over the last five years to get outdoors and socialise with others in the community; celebrates the volunteers of Cycling Without Age Scotland who pilot these trishaws, and whose physical effort and time is contributing to the welfare of others in their communities, and all the other volunteers who provide supporting roles to ensure that this charity continues to provide these experiences, and further congratulates Cycling Without Age Scotland on its fifth anniversary and for its record breaking ride.
