Cults Academy in Aberdeen Named One of the Best Performing Secondary Schools

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the staff and pupils of Cults Academy on being named one of the best performing secondary schools in a 2023 league table; notes that the list, compiled by a national newspaper, ranked secondary schools across the country based on the percentage of students who gained five Higher exams in 2021-22; further notes that Cults Academy secured sixth position and was the only north east school that was listed in the top 10; understands that, in addition to the high percentage of S5 pupils achieving five Highers, Cults Academy provides opportunities for learners at all levels to be successful, including within its Enhanced Provision; further understands that, in 2021-22, 100% of Cults Academy leavers secured a positive and sustained destination, and wishes all the pupils continued success with their studies.
