Celebrating Glasgow Woodland Initiative Being Shortlisted for RSPB Nature of Scotland Award

The motion

That the Parliament celebrates the achievements of Urban Roots, after it was announced that the group has been shortlisted for an RSPB Nature of Scotland Award; understands that the group has been shortlisted under the Health and Wellbeing category; appreciates the work that Urban Roots does as a charity in Glasgow to promote community gardening, conservation and outdoor education, by connecting people with nature, promoting healthy lifestyles, and building sustainable communities; shares the aim of the group to create a greener and more resilient city to benefit both people and the environment; wishes the group the best of luck in the awards, and encourages the group to continue what it sees as the valuable work that it does in the community.
